ACTUARY PROGRAMME
The Actuary programme has been designed to provide you with an opportunity to learn new consultancy and communication skills, while getting to meet international colleagues from the Eurapco Alliance.
September and October 2023
The actuarial field is starting to have a more impactful role within the business. In response to this, Eurapco has created the Actuary programme, designed to help you improve your actuarial consultancy and communication skills. You will gain an insight into how you can efficiently and effectively create impact and actionable results within your home company.
DURATION
The programme will kick off online on 12-13 September; on-site module 25-27 October. Dates are still subject to change.
LOCATION
The onsite part of the programme will take place in Germany, Cologne at the Châteauform Ahrenthal.
COSTS
Fee indication: €1,750.
The costs of the programme will be charged directly to your company. This fee includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee/tea, snacks and meeting rooms.
Note: Participants’ travelling costs are not included in programme costs as they can differ per person; prices are exclusive of VAT. Location and costs are subject to change, based on the number of participants.
PROGRAMME DETAILS
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
- You will develop your actuarial consultancy skills for board/management level, both in terms of skills and how to communicate adequately to board/management in own company.
- You will learn how to address strategically important issues of the Eurapco Partners.
- You will improve your effectiveness through cooperation within the own company.
- You will improve your effectiveness through good practices from other Partners and the creation of a sustainable international network of actuaries.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
The Actuary programme has been designed for individuals who are experienced in the actuarial field. This experience is available for life and non-life actuaries.
Since the programme is conducted in English, good business knowledge of the English language is essential.

Challenges for future actuaries
Introduction on Cross Selling
Actuary challenge
During the first online meeting the Actuary Challenge will be provided. Participants will be organized in teams to work on this challenge in the period between the 2 modules. This will be done in virtual teams, using MS Teams and/or other online tools to collaborate. The outcomes will be presented during the 2nd (on-site) module. The teams will be guided by actuary alumni. Typically, the time invested in the Actuary Challenge is 10 hours.
